There are plenty of apps that will count visits for you. The best approach to this is definitely by creating a Google Analytics account. It’s relatively easy and has the most comprehensive feedback for your website. From visitors, to bounce rate (the percentage of people clicking off the website before interacting with it) and the average length of a session visit.
You can link it with AdSense later on if you wish to place advertisements on your website to try and generate a bit of extra income. These options do require implementing the code into your website somewhere somehow (there is information on how to do it), so if you’d rather just install a plugin, JetPack is the best way to see how many visits you get every day straight up on your WordPress Dashboard.
They also give you a bunch of other stuff like Social Media sharing buttons, Site Protection and Related Posts app.
